Ishwar Panchang Bringing families closer to their traditions, wherever home is.

Privacy

The short version

No cookies, no sign-in, no ads. Your city stays on your phone. Survey answers and feedback are anonymous.

Who we are

VMARS Group Ltd, trading as Ishwar Panchang, is the data controller (registered office Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU). Contact: [email protected]. ICO registration number: being registered; we will show it here.

What stays on your phone

Your chosen city, the “Only show different dates” switch and your light or dark choice are kept in your browser’s storage on your phone. They are never sent to us, and we set no cookies. To clear them, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

What we keep

The survey and the feedback form open once our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is complete. Until then we keep only emails you send us and the daily totals below.

Survey answers and feedback that you choose to send: your answers and any text you type, the page you sent it from, the city shown, the time, and the country code our host adds to the request (for example GB). We do not store your IP address, a device ID or a cookie. Please don’t type your name; any names or email addresses typed into free text are deleted at our weekly review.

Emails to [email protected]: your address and your message, so we can reply.

If you leave your email for a chat at the end of the survey: your email, the date and the consent you gave. It is stored apart from your survey answers and never linked to them. We use it only to arrange the chat and to send your free week of premium when it launches.

If you have a chat with us: we write short notes of what you told us, without your name, to improve the site. We don’t record or transcribe the call unless you agree at the start.

Daily totals: how many times each calendar feed and PDF was downloaded (by city and calendar app), Subscribe and Share buttons were tapped, each link was used, and how many visits came from each country. These are counts per day only, with nothing about who.

Why we use it

To get the dates right and improve the site, which is our legitimate interest. Survey answers are anonymous, and you choose whether to send them. An email for a chat is used only because you agreed to it, and you can withdraw that at any time by writing to us.

Who handles it for us, and where

Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the cookieless analytics and stores the survey and feedback database, in EU locations chosen when the account was set up. Zoho runs our email, in its EU data centre. Neither may use the data for anything else.

How long we keep it

Survey answers and chat notes: 24 months. Feedback, emails to [email protected] and emails left for a chat: 12 months. Names or emails typed into free text: deleted at the weekly review. Daily totals contain no personal data and are kept as totals.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete data about you, to limit how we use it, or object to it, and to have a copy. Because survey answers and feedback are anonymous, tell us roughly what you sent and when, so we can find it. Write to [email protected].

How to complain: to us, then the ICO

Tell us first, through the feedback form or [email protected]. We acknowledge data protection complaints within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113.

How our analytics works without cookies

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views with a small script that sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does not follow you across other sites. It cannot tell whether two visits are the same person. Our own counts are daily totals, as above.
